We’re gearing up around here for another road trip — wahoo! Two weeks by the lake and the mountains where the kids have exactly three things on their list: swim in the lake; swing in the hammock; and go for ice cream. I think we can manage that.
So although I’ve been looking at patriotic crafts and food and decorations online for the last month, we’re going to end up having eggs and whatever perishables are in the fridge, and going to bed before it’s dark enough for fireworks. Sorry, ‘Merica. Next year — I promise I’ll make it up to you.
I love looking at the projects everyone links up each Monday on my facebook page. And these are great things to do of a summer morning — go check out the rest after you read these ones. Some great stuff there.
–Strawberry Mint Lemonade by Africa to America (with a great way to share it once you’ve made it!)
–Playdough Ice Cream by A Little Pinch of Perfect
-23 Fun Things for Kids to Make This Summer by 3 Boys and A Dog

Happy Independence Day, everyone!
