It’s spring, it’s spring!
You can tell this at our house, because the snow has turned from freezing, sleet-hard, so-cold-it-squeaks snow to wet, sloppy, slushy spring snow.
I can see how certain cultures have over 40 names for different kinds of snow. There really are a lot.
But in between snows, the flowers are peeking up, and the worms are out and loving it, and the birds are chasing the worms, and we’re getting outdoors in between snowy, rainy days. If you have a chance to get outside, here’s a fun spring scavenger hunt to print out and take along with you. Try doing it on a walk through your neighborhood. You could do it like a tic-tac-toe card and just find a row, or you could try to mark off everything on your card. Your choice.
You can download and print the scavenger hunt here. Then, grab a pair of rain boots (or sandals, if you’re somewhere warmer…but I don’t wanna hear about it) and head out for a neighborhood walk! Happy spring!
