Knit Hedgehog

December 19, 2013 By Laura Leave a Comment

We have a family friend who’s going through a  pretty challenging time. So I did what anyone would under those circumstances and knit her a hedgehog wearing a scarf.

He went pretty quickly — if you’re looking for a last-minute handmade gift, you could probably make him over a few hours this weekend. I used all stash yarn, some Poly-fil, and embroidery thread for the eyes.

He’d make a great stocking stuffer. Or give him as a present, along with this book about Hedgie the Hedgehog (it’s one of our favorites!).

My Ravelry notes are here if you want to check them out.

And now I must make some more. My daughter wants one…I have several hedgehog-obsessed family members (no, I can’t explain it. I can just tell you what is.) But it does amuse me to tell people I spent my day making hedgehogs. So there’s that.

Thank  you for visiting Peace but Not Quiet! I’d love it if you’d like me on facebook and follow me on twitter.

Hi, there!

Hi, there!

Welcome! I'm Laura -- a mom of four kids aged thirteen and under. I run occasionally and love really bad puns.
