Keeping the Kitchen Clean with Mean Green

September 29, 2018 By Laura 1 Comment

This may come as a shock, but my kitchen gets pretty messy.

All four kids like to cook…and so does my husband…and so, sometimes, do I. The kids are also at a point where they get their own lunches and snacks and other food. So – lots of opportunities for jam and peanut butter and cake batter and dried milk and who knows what to get all over the place. Then, of course, there’s the usual buildup of grease and grime and what is that stuff that ends up on the range hood? I have no idea but it’s all sticky and doesn’t wipe off easily.

So I keep Mean Green Orange Champ Cleaner and Degreaser handy. I use it to wipe down the counters after everyone’s made lunches for the day. I use it after I bake. I use it on the stove and the microwave and in all those nooks and crannies that kitchens have and that you want to make sure are clean because after all you do make food in there. Also, it smells all nice and orange-y. It’s safe on most washable surfaces and cuts through all the grime very nicely. You can even spray Orange Champ on your floors for spot-cleaning, or dilute 4 oz. of cleaner in one gallon of warm water and use it to mop.

And in case you’re wondering, the cupcakes shown above are from this recipe and are really, really good. I had some challenges with the batter, thanks to the altitude here, so I had to scrap the cupcake part. But the frosting, and the marshmallows…😋😋😋 As for the cupcake part, I just need to alter things a little – add in a little water and flour and reduce the baking time. Next time I’ll get it right.

I have been compensated by Mean Green for this post. All opinions are mine alone.

Hi, there!

Hi, there!

Welcome! I'm Laura -- a mom of four kids aged thirteen and under. I run occasionally and love really bad puns.
