I’ve discovered this is a love-it-or-hate-it sort of drink. I happen to love it because the starting mix resembles cookie dough and I may, once or twice, have eaten all the mix out of my mug and had to start the whole process again.
Hot Buttered Rum:
1 Tb butter
1 1/2 Tb brown sugar
1 tsp gingerbread spice mix
2 Tb rum
Mix butter, brown sugar and spice mix in the bottom of a coffee mug. Add rum and vanilla. Fill to the top with hot water and stir.
