Some of My Favorite Knitting Supplies

February 15, 2018 By Laura Leave a Comment

I’m a sucker for fun knitting supplies.

Do you know what I mean? Those knitting supplies that aren’t necessarily essential, but are so cute and so much fun and that just make you happy. Things like cute stitch markers for knitting. Or embroidery scissors shaped like a stork (the scissors are the beak!! Do you see? Adorable!!)

the best knitting supplies on Amazon

I love finding these things almost as much as I love trying new techniques or starting new projects. I suppose it’s fitting that people who make craft supplies often put some imagination and whimsy into the things they make, no?

I’m also now able to gather all my favorite supplies on Amazon and put them in one place to share with you. Wanna take a look? What do you think? Is there anything you’d add or anything you’ve tried that you didn’t like? I’m interested to hear your feedback!

Here are a few of my favorites:

–Knitted Animal Scarves, Mitts, and Socks – those hedgehog mittens are killing me dead! I made my daughter the fox scarf as well – so many cute things to make for kids (though I would absolutely wear the penguin socks as an adult)

–Stork Embroidery Scissors – I mentioned these above, and I love them so much. They’re labeled “embroidery scissors” but they’d be good for cutting yarn as well…and they’d be the first pair of scissors I owned that my kids wouldn’t steal to cut construction paper with. Score.

–Sheep Stitch Markers – sure, you can use inexpensive plastic markers to keep your place in a project. But these are so much more fun!

–“Likes to Play With Sharp Sticks” knitting tee – I have this T-shirt (that’s me in the picture) and it cracks me up every time.

–“I Can’t Believe I’m Fair Isle Knitting” book with patterns – I have this book as well. It’s how I taught myself to Fair Isle knit, and it has several hats and a cowl that are easy first projects if you want to start working with color. My first attempt turned out just gorgeous.

There are plenty more things in the store as well – including glow in the dark yarn (!!). Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!

Hi, there!

Hi, there!

Welcome! I'm Laura -- a mom of four kids aged thirteen and under. I run occasionally and love really bad puns.
