It’s no secret we love our fairy gardens! We usually set ours up at the beginning of the summer and the kids play with them off and on for the rest of the season. But we decided that, after a few months, the fairy garden needed some new decorations to spruce things up a bit.
So we spent an hour or so one afternoon decorating rocks for the garden. They’re going to be used as seats…and path liners…and whatever else active imaginations decide they should be used for.
I got a small bag of smooth pebbles at Michaels, and the kids supplemented with rocks they found around the yard. We painted the rocks with tempera paints and Sharpie paint pens.
And then everyone just amused themselves painting, making designs, and deciding where everything would go in the garden. But mostly painting.
A fun, simple craft for an afternoon!
