This whole blogging thing is pretty fun. I do stuff with the kids, see if they like it, and then tell you about it, hopefully inspiring other people to do fun stuff with their kids as well (not every day, you understand. Sometimes I stay in my jammies til noon, reading In Style and letting the kids tear apart the living room. We do what we can, mamas.)
One of the perks of blogging is that, on occasion, opportunities come along to make a little pin money as well. Here are a few of the ways I do that:
Affiliate links: If I link to a product in a post, and you click on that link and buy the product, I often get a small percentage. For heaven’s sake, I’d never link to something I didn’t like because that only lasts once and then you stop believing me and then I go back to writing stuff that only my mom reads. So I only link things I’d actually recommend to you if you were to come shopping with me one day (oooh…that would be fun. Let’s!)
I also have ads posted in my sidebar (that little part to the left. Under my smiling face. Hi, there.) I get a small percentage if you click on any of those as well.
Sponsored Posts: I will occasionally write and publish sponsored posts. I’ll receive a free product to test, and will get a small fee for writing about it. Again, I’ll give you the honest truth about it because otherwise we have that horrible not-believing-me scenario I mentioned above. If I like the product, I’ll tell you. If I don’t, I’ll tell you that, too. All sponsored posts say “this is a sponsored post.”
Giveaways: If I have a giveaway on this blog, I’ve gotten the product I’m giving away for free. If I get an extra one to try out myself, I’ll tell you and let you know what I think about it.

The one thing about all of the above forms of income? I won’t publish anything I don’t believe is truthful or useful to you (and me, too). ‘Cuz I’m a woman of many faults, but I’m not selling my soul over a blog post, I promise.
