Christmas Knitting

December 27, 2012 By Laura 1 Comment

OK, now that Christmas is over, I can finally show you a project I was knitting. For my sister. Who, if I had told you all about it ahead of time, would probably have assured me she wouldn’t peek…and then would have cheated.

It’s a cowl. I actually went into the yarn store planning to make something else and the nice lady had this displayed and I changed my mind on the spot.

I’m loving cowls right now. They slip over your head and you don’t have to try and figure out how to tie them or what to do with the ends.

And this one is nice and chunky, which means 1.) it knits up super-fast. Like really, really fast…and 2.) it’s super-warm. Great for days like today, where we have yet to see 30 degrees.

Er. Yeah. You can probably tell by now that I made myself one as well.

The ravelry notes are here, if you’re interested in making one…or printing out the pattern and sending it to a knitter you know so they can make you one next Christmas. Which is not at all selfish but rather thoughtful of you to eliminate the guesswork.

Thank you for visiting Peace but Not Quiet! I’d love it if you’d take a minute to like me on facebook.

Hi, there!

Hi, there!

Welcome! I'm Laura -- a mom of four kids aged thirteen and under. I run occasionally and love really bad puns.
