I’ve been taking a little break from my living room makeover. I haven’t really changed anything in there this week, but I’ve been looking online at ideas and collecting a few things that I plan to use in the room. I had this lovely white picture frame the kids gave me for Christmas a while ago, and I’ve never actually put a picture in it…so I made a little something to go on the wall.
I began by covering the back with some fabric I had in my stash (from Jo-Ann’s).
I just hot glued it in place — like wrapping a present. Then I drew an outline of a bird on the front and glued some twine on over it.
The shape was good but he needed a little more definition, so I added a wing.
I filled him in with buttons in matching colors. I just kind of stuffed them in wherever there was room, not worrying about covering every little spot. I added some twine legs and a yarn branch for him to stand on.
I hope to show you some wall art actually on the wall soon. And I really need to make some curtains so I can stop worrying that the neighbors are watching us in the dining room while we eat.
