Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles! The kids had some bubble fun yesterday, in the backyard, on a whim. We didn’t have any special bubble blowers. We didn’t have any fancy bubble soap with glycerin and all that stuff you need for huge awesome bubbles. We had dish soap and kitchen utensils. They loved it.
I have an eleven-year old who’s starting to declare everything except his tablet lame and boring and even he played with the bubbles for a good hour.
We dug through our kitchen drawers for anything with holes in it to blow bubbles. The cheese grater and the lid to our pizza cutter worked best. And straws. Straws blow great bubbles, so long as you don’t forget yourself and accidentally try drinking out of them.
The kids also discovered they could blow bubbles with their own hands.
They experimented with putting things in bubbles.
And just generally had a fun, soapy afternoon.
Try it!
