I debated writing about this because 1.) there are tons of people out there in webland who are much smarter than I and who spend whole days researching this topic and 2.) I didn’t actually have an iPhone or iPad when my kids were newborns. But since I didn’t, I can tell you these are the things I would have found helpful…
The Nursing Log — I would have loved to have one of these. I was always losing track of exactly when I fed the baby (especially when I had other kids doing other things at the same time). This app seems well- organized and records the important stuff without too many distracting extras. $1.99
Sprout Lite — a pregnancy app that shows pictures of your developing baby and has a weight tracker, kick counter and contraction timer. There’s also a place to record questions for the next time you visit the doctor (and a place to record their answers since you can’t remember anything for more than 5 minutes when you’re pregnant). Free.
BabyCenter’s My Baby Today — includes suggested activities for your baby each week, based on their development. Also has a photo album for baby pictures and advice on taking care of your baby and you, too! Free.
Anyone have any apps they loved for pregnant/new mamas?
