And so it’s here — the last week of things moms with kids want new moms to know.
-“I would have liked to know that sleep is rare and life will never be about me anymore.” — Kim P.
-“Love and appreciate your children for who they are.” — Kamilla L.
And with that, I’d just like to say that my favorite part of this series has been not just reading everyone’s advice but seeing how encouraging they were. Because while there are a few absolutes in raising healthy, happy children, a lot of decisions are simply matters of preference. It’s easy to argue and get all judgy about things that, frankly, I don’t think are going to matter when our kids are grown.
So it was heartening to see moms giving kind, uplifting advice. We’re all in this battle together to raise these babies to be well-rounded, productive adults. And the last thing we need is to be taken out by friendly fire.
Keep fighting the good fight, mamas. You’re doing great.
