It’s Friday again! More mama advice…
-“It is not abuse to have them sleep in their own room.” — Robyn A.
-“Breast feeding is hard. It isn’t the end of the world if you have to go to formula early.” — Crysti C.
And those two comments right there got me thinking. Because we have all these plans, before the kids even arrive, of how we’re going to do things. And then they show up and refuse to cooperate. I’ve known women who just physically couldn’t nurse their babies. Or who were forced to give up their birthing plan for an emergency C-section. Or caved on natural childbirth in the 12th hour of a 36-hour labor and got every drug they could (all right, that one was me.)
I’m not telling you to give up on your plans for your babies. I’m just giving you permission to not feel guilty if a few of them don’t turn out quite the way you thought.
Thank you for visiting!
