Once upon a time, there was a girl named Jill. She was a mom and a book editor and one day, decided to combine her two loves into this right here:
She talked to more than 50 moms around the world (ok, including me. I’m in it. My kids don’t believe this, but I know stuff.) She wrote all their time-saving, sanity-saving advice down in this book and now I’m giving two of them away. Ah, I feel like Oprah! You get a book, and you get a book, and…
Honestly, though, the thing I love about this book is that all of the moms were so encouraging. They give great advice, but never in a way that feels judgmental.
So there you have it — an awesome book that’s yours to win! If you’re no longer a new mom, it would also make a great baby shower present.
There are two ways to win. You can either leave a comment below (anything. Really. Your own mom advice, the color of your socks, whatever. Just make sure you enter your e-mail address when prompted so I can let you know if you’ve won) or like us on facebook and leave a comment there. I’ll randomly draw two names this Wednesday.
Good luck, everyone! Thank you for visiting Peace but Not Quiet!

After my son was born last year, a friend gave me a book similar to this – with advice and tips from seasoned moms. It was such an encouragement to read in those first few weeks when I was stuck at home and wondering what I had gotten myself into as a mom. I have a friend who is expecting her first now, and think this would be a great gift for her!
My son just turned one, but I always love hearing advice from seasoned mothers…I have learned so much from them! There is always something to take away from their stories and advice!
I am far past my childbearing years, but my daughter is expecting her first! I know she would love this book, and it would be a good reminder for me!
I’m not a new mom, as I have two teenagers. However, it’s been 14 years since I had a baby to raise and here I am 8 months pregnant. I think the book would make a great refresher for this ol’ mom.
