We made it! We survived our road trip and are happily bouncing around Southern California for the week. Yesterday we hung out at the beach, where our four-year old saw this sign:
and it was all over for him. He spent most of that morning hiding behind me, apparently under the impression that if there was a tsunami, I was huge enough to deflect it.
Today, the girls headed to the American Girl store in Los Angeles, where I had to stop myself from buying my own doll. Because they come with these beautiful little clothes…and shoes…and bathtubs and horses and kitchens and crutches and I just need one, that’s all. My favorite feature might have been this:
1.) Yes, I did just take a picture inside a bathroom stall. ‘Cuz I’m classy like that.
2.) It’s a doll holder! To hang your doll from while you go potty so she doesn’t have to be on the ground or anything! I knew about the doll chairs at the cafe so that you could lunch next to your American Girl, but I was not ready for doll holders.
Tomorrow, we’re off to Disneyland…which I can happily report to my four-year old is far enough inland that tsunamis should not be a problem.
