I finished up a summer skirt for my littlest girl this week.
I love the knit picot hem…and the lace squares.
I’m a little worried I picked a yarn that will be too warm but I think she can wear it most of the summer…and into winter with some tights and a long-sleeved shirt.
My main problem is that she’s on a dress kick right now. Sometimes, in an overdose of girliness, she’ll wear a skirt under her dress…but my challenge will be to get her to wear the skirt where everyone can actually see it. Two year olds.
My ravelry notes are here if you’d like to see them.
Thank you for visiting Peace but Not Quiet! I’d love it if you’d like me on facebook and follow me on twitter.

It’s so beautiful, I’d love to have a smallie to knit it for.
Oh, may, this is awesome!!! I love that skirt. It’s a 10 out of 10! Did you design it yourself…??! I would not worry about it being too hot for summer. The color and style are ‘timeless’ and so she’ll be able to wear this for years, yearround!
Adorable and I love the color! From a fellow knitter I high five you Laura! Love the trim! Thanks for sharing at Project Inspired and hope to see you at tonight’s party 8 pm EST: http://www.settingforfour.com
What a cute skirt – I have tried knitting and it is beyond me so I am super impressed that something that cute can be done….Awesome….
you can do it! Start with something like a scarf and just keep plugging along…
How adorable!
I’d love for you to share this on Much Ado About Monday at Huckleberry Love. Visiting from Uncommon Designs.
