31 Days of…

September 27, 2012 By Laura 10 Comments

Update: I’ve made this the landing page for “31 Days of Baby Stuff.” You can find links to every day of the series at the end of this post. Thank you for following along!

So The Nester has challenged bloggers to spend the 31 days of October writing each day about the same topic. Which requires a wee bit of thinking ahead. Of not indulging my stream-of-consciousness “hey, I wonder if anyone else wants to know how to do this” whims. For an entire month. I’m gonna try it out and see where it takes me. And though it’s probably a bit premature to announce a title and have a picture and everything when I haven’t yet seen if I can make it for 31 days, here I go:

I didn’t really know what else to call it because “31 Days of Advice, Recipes, Patterns and Other Stuff Moms Want to Know” seemed really long. But that’s what I’ll be blogging about — advice for new moms, recipes for both babies and families who just had babies, knitting patterns, and other baby-related stuff. I even happen to be hosting a baby shower next month…how perfect is that?
Two things: 1.) no, I’m not having a baby. Good heavens. But I have had a few and now that I’m on the other side, there are a few things I wish I’d known. I’ll tell them to you. 2.) If you’re an experienced mom (I refuse to believe the opposite of “new mom” is “old mom”), stick around! We need you! I’m going to have several posts in which I’d love you to share your own mom-wisdom with the rest of us.
I should probably sign off and write a few posts ahead of time, because a good mom might teach her children not to procrastinate by example. But I think I’ll go ruin my dinner with a bowl of ice cream instead.

Looks like fun! I just had Baby #3 on Saturday so I hope I fall into the category of “experience” (not old!) mom 🙂

I did the a-z challenge in April…write a post a day for the month of April. About killed me. It’s a challenge, for sure… to write on the same topic would be even more difficult! You go, girl! I’ll be checking in. 🙂

Hi, there!

Hi, there!

Welcome! I'm Laura -- a mom of four kids aged thirteen and under. I run occasionally and love really bad puns.
