I always start out spring break strong. We get up, we usually go somewhere fun the first day or two…and by the end of the week, we’re hanging out in our pjs until 10am and watching more TV than I like to admit.
So I made a list of things to do for the week. Some of them get us out of the house, some of them are fun things to do at home because the weather can still be iffy around here (um, but not for me right now. We’re actually spending spring break in Hawaii this year. Squee! But I’m going to need this list this summer.)
Things to do over Spring Break:
1.) Go to the library (and check out their events — libraries have lots of fun, free events)
2.) Bake with the kids — we just got these adorable books, the Sweet SCENTsations Bake Shop and the Cookie Decorating book. The Sweet SCENTsations book is a coloring and activity book with scented markers and stickers that my five-year old loves. And the Cookie Decorating book features recipes and templates for decorating your own cookies. So cute! And the best part — I’m giving away a Cookie Decorating book! Read on for details on how to win at the end of the post.
3.) Make slime (and play with it!)
4.) Make playdough (and, of course, play with it, too!)
5.) Go hiking
6.) Try a science experiment together
7.) Go on a bike ride
8.) Build a blanket fort. Read in it (or have a picnic in there)
10.) Go birdwatching
And now the giveaway! This is such a cute book — great to try out with your kids, and it would make a wonderful birthday present, I think. Good luck!
