I’m headed out of town this weekend for a crazy family bonding ritual that involves running a 72-mile relay through the mountains in California. It’s going to be a beautiful weekend and if I don’t die on Saturday, I shall enjoy it very much. The kids are staying here with Dad, which also means I’m spending a night all by myself for the first time in eleven years. I plan to celebrate my night of freedom by either going to bed at 9, or by hiding under the bed from axe murderers and weird sounds that houses make when no one else is in them.
I had a lot of fun looking through the projects everyone linked up on my facebook page last Monday. Go scroll through them all — there were a bunch of good Father’s Day card and gift ideas for the kids to make (no, it’s not too late!) and a lot of ideas for summer fun. I noticed a bit of a theme with summer reading ideas…check out the ones below and also my Summer Reading List for Pre-Teen Boys.
Have a lovely weekend!
